Every name has a story.
For me, Clover & State began with two places, two parts of the world, and the journey between them.
Clover represents home.
It represents where I come from—the place that holds my roots, my family, my memories and the people who helped shape who I am. It is the part of my story that I carry with me, wherever life takes me.
State represents where I am now.
A different place. A different chapter. A new beginning.
Moving from one side of the world to another meant leaving behind much of what was familiar and stepping into something unknown. It meant starting again, finding new opportunities and building something new while still carrying everything that came before.
And somewhere between Clover and State is the journey.
That journey hasn't always been straightforward. Life rarely is.
There have been unexpected turns, new opportunities, moments of uncertainty and moments when the next step wasn't entirely clear. But there has also been adventure, discovery and the realization that sometimes we don't need to know exactly where the road ends.
We just need enough faith to take the next step.
But Clover & State isn't only my story.
That's what I hope the name can become.
Because everyone has a Clover.
It might be the town where you grew up. The country you left behind. Your childhood home. Your family. A place that shaped you. Or simply somewhere that will always feel like home, no matter how much your life changes.
And everyone has a State.
It might be where you live today. A new home. A new career. A new relationship. A new dream. A fresh start after something ended. Or simply the place you're trying to get to.
The space between the two is your journey.
And journeys are different for everyone.
Some are chosen. Some are unexpected. Some take us across the world. Others happen without ever leaving the place we call home.
But they all have something in common:
We're always becoming.
We're discovering new places, new ideas, new possibilities and sometimes new versions of ourselves.
That's what I want Clover & State to represent.
Not just a destination, but the adventure of getting there.
And that's where the shop begins.
The things you'll find at Clover & State are part of that journey too.
For now, I'm bringing together pieces that I discover and believe are worth sharing. They're the beginning of something much bigger—a way to introduce Clover & State to the world while I continue to shape what it will become.
Over time, that journey will lead to collections and designs of my own.
But the idea behind them will remain the same:
discovery, creativity, adventure and the courage to follow the path ahead.
Clover & State is rooted in where we've been, but it's always looking toward what's next.
Because sometimes the greatest adventures begin when we leave what we know.
And sometimes, the most important thing we can bring with us is home.
